  Abstract

In this paper, we introduce a new code design for block fading (BF) channel by concatenating the Reed-Solomon (RS) codes and generalized root protograph (GRP) low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes in order to achieve the diversity-approaching performance. By decoding iteratively after adapting parity check matrix in the inner RS codes, the diversity-approaching decoding performance can be obtained with low complexity for arbitrary diversity order.
