  Abstract

In this paper, we calculate the frequency requirement for a cluster in the environment where fixed and mobile services coexist. The proposed methodology uses the M/G/1 queuing model of Recommendation M.1768 to calculate the capacity of the fixed wireless access system in the environment where the fixed wireless access system and the mobile wireless access system coexist in Recommendation F.1518. Experimental results show that there are 10 different traffic priorities and packet lengths, and the frequency requirements are observed by varying the traffic load and cluster size. As a result, we can observe that the two systems co-exist in the same frequency in a spectrally efficient manner, rather than assigning separate frequencies to the fixed and mobile services, in terms of frequency requirements. Using this method, the spectrum requirement of fixed wireless service based on the packet network can be calculated both in the environment where only the fixed wireless service exists and in the coexistence environment with other mobile wireless access systems, and it can be utilized to establish the frequency policy in the future.
