  Abstract

Interference management for L-cell multiantenna cellular downlink systems is studied. Each base station equipped with M antennas serves its K users and channel state information of its own cell is only available. Each user is equipped with a reconfigurable antenna that can choose its receiving mode from M preset mode. The proposed scheme performs zero-forcing for managing intra-cell interference and then performs blind interference alignment for managing inter-cell interference. It is shown that the proposed scheme significantly improves the sum degrees of freedom.
