  Abstract

In this paper, we propose an improved successive cancellation flip (SCF) decoding algorithm based on bit interleaver to reduce computational complexity compared to the conventional SCF decoding. In addition, we use density evolution probability to select the information bits to flip. The computational complexity of the proposed SCF decoding is less by at least 35% than the conventional one for error frames at a high Eb/N0 while keeping a similar error-correction performance to the conventional one.
