  Abstract

In this paper, we propose the theoretical out-of-band emission of a filtered OFDM (f-OFDM), one of candidate for 5G OFDM. The mathematical expression of the power density function is derived as an intermediate process. MATLAB simulation was used to verify the accuracy of the mathematical expression. This result can be used as a basic tool for analyzing the effect of subchannel interference of 5G new radio (NR) with f-OFDM.
