  Abstract

The general public’s preference for leader’s voice is changing with the times. What is driving this change is the ICT technology and the voices of leaders who are popular with the public are also changing. In this paper, Gu Kim and Ik Hee Shin who had the greatest influence among the leaders of Korea during the Japanese colonial period and liberated 1950’s, we will try clarify their voice characteristics and what their voice characteristics they prefer at that time. We would like to use Gu Kim’s speech on liberation day on August 15, 1946 and Ik Hee Shin’s speech on May 2, 1956, Han river. As a result of the experiment, Gu Kim spoke at the high pitch of the eloquence and he focused on stability and prudence through low speech speed and high DoVB. On the other hand, Ik Hee Shin intented to transmit his opinion strongly through the pitch and energy higher than the average of male. Through this, it was possible to find out that in the 1950s liberation period and the Japanese colonial period, the strong leader of the eloquent style and the pursuit of prudence and stability at the same time.
