  Abstract

PCL is one of the radar systems for the detection of aircrafts by using broadcasting or communications signals. Among the commercial signals, FM-radio signals have been widely exploited. For the target detection in the FM-radio-based PCL system, TDOA and FDOA are estimated from the CAF, however, the direct computation of CAF has become an obstacle to the real-time applications. In this paper, we propose a method to reduce the computational complexity of the CAF in the TDOA axis based on the TDOA resolution with the use of the Stein’s algorithm which is a computationally efficient method for the CAF in FDOA axis.
