Understanding Customer’s Reuse Intention Through Perceptions In Sharing Economy: An Empirical Study of Grab in Vietnam

  Abstract

Recently, the rise of the so-called sharing economy has become a disruptive innovation in many industries, especially in transportation industry. In this paper, we focus on Grab - a ride-sharing platform that is the largest ride-hailing group in Southeast Asia. This study aimed at examining the effects of perceived network effect, perceived platform quality on consumers’ trust toward having intention to use as well as the reuse intention in using Grab in Vietnam. The proposed research model was based on Expectation - Confirmation Theory which provides the comprehensive view about the pre-using and post-using process of customer in using Grab service. By empirical analysis method, this research carries out methodology and statistical analysis with collected data from establishing the questionnaire survey, form that to clarify the relationship among factors.
