  Abstract

In this paper, we introduce IEEE 802.3cg, the next-generation bus-based in-vehicle networks, and describe its main features and operation methods. In addition, we evaluate the network performance of IEEE 802.3cg such as throughput and network latency, which are the metrics to consider in order to be used for in-vehicle networks by simulation.
