  Abstract

The Multi-access edge computing(MEC) environment is one of the most promising technologies for 5G network. MEC mitigates the processing bottlenecks that limit the provision of ultra low latency services in 5G centralized cloud environment. We focus on how to efficiently provide data to users using caching storage of MEC in 5G distributed cloud environment. In particular, we propose how to calculate user similarity using user’s content request pattern for efficient MEC content caching. We also expand the caching space available to users by adopting Cooperative MEC content caching to increase the hit ratio of requested contents and to reduce the latency for improving the quality of service(QoS).
