  Abstract

Carriage of metadata over MPEG-2 Transport Stream is required to provide additional services for user in digital broadcasting environments. In this paper, the method of multiplexing of TV -Anytime metadata and MPEG-2 Transport Stream for audiovisual contents is proposed. TV-Anytime metadata is coded into BiM or TeM format which is specified by MPEG-7 Systems and encapsulated by using metadata section protocol. It is constructed into indepentent MPEG-2 Transport Strema by adding Program Specific Information. In metadata injector, Program Specic Information including both for metadata and audiovisual contents is reconstructed, null packets in MPEG-2 Transport Stream for audiovisual contents are replaced by metadata Transport Stream packet
