  Abstract

In cognitive radio networks, spectrum sensing is a crucial function to make secondary users utilize spectrum holes opportunistically consisting of wideband sensing and narrow-band fine sensing. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that determines an optimal fine sensing band based on cooperative wideband spectrum sensing results in CR ad-hoc networks. We can select more effective fine sensing band using sliding window based utilization function and linear regression based prediction technique.
