  Abstract

To overcome the physical limits of the conventional data storage system, holographic data storage system which has advantages of high storage capacity and short access time is one of candidate for the next generation data storage system. When the ratio of ON pixels per page is around 25% in holographic data storage system, the storage capacity is increased to 15%. In this paper, to increase the storage capacity, we proposed a two-dimensional 7/9 sparse-ON pixel modulation code with 28% ON pixel ratio.
