  Abstract

Digital transformation, which means innovating business models and establishing new directions for the industry through digital technology, is creating new consumer value. Digital technologies such as Big data, AI, Blockchain and IoT are strengthening connectivity between suppliers and consumers, leading to expansion of existing products and services. As a new economic growth engine, the importance of the service industry continues to grow, and digital technologies are expected to bring disruptive innovation in various service sectors. In this context, our study examines the recent digital innovation trends in the US and explores future policy directions for the Korean service industry.
