  Abstract

In this letter, we propose a novel selective cooperative phase steering technique for a cooperative wireless network with multiple relay nodes. In the proposed technique, only a certain number of relays with a good channel condition send signals using a cooperative phase steering technique among the relay nodes that succeeded in packet decoding from the source node. We verify the relationship between the maximum number of transmitting relays and the error probability selected in given system parameters and compare the error probability performance of the proposed selective cooperative phase steering technique with the conventional cooperative relaying techniques in the literature.
