MMSE Channel Estimation Scheme Using Improved Virtual Pilot Signal for IEEE 802.11p

  Abstract

In this letter, we propose a novel channel estimation scheme, which further improves the previous MMSE channel estimation scheme using virtual pilot signals for IEEE 802.11p, by increasing the accuracy of a virtual pilot. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme provides a performance gain up to 10dB in terms of PER over the previous MMSE scheme.
