  Abstract

This paper proposes a hybrid precoder design method for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with multiple antennas in millimeter wave bands. Given baseband precoders defined for the individual subcarriers, the proposed scheme finds the analog precoder for maximizing the achievable rate through iterative optimization. Also, the baseband precoders are updated considering the designed analog precoder. Through numerical simulations, it is shown that the proposed precoders achieve higher data rate than existing hybrid precoding techniques.
