  Abstract

In this paper, we propose an enhanced two-step random access (RA) procedure based on a message bundling technique to support quick access to the low earth orbit (LEO) satellite networks. We mathematically analyze the performance of our proposed scheme in terms of the one-shot success probability, and perform simulations via MATLAB to validate our mathematical analysis. We verify the effectiveness of our proposed message bundling technique on improving the performance of the overall two-step RA especially in terms of one-shot success probability.
