  Abstract

This paper applies an auxiliary beam-assisted beam tracking method to achieve stable beam alignment and effective beamforming for high-speed communication between vehicles in a platooning scenario. To evaluate the effectiveness of the applied method, a vehicle dynamics and wireless communication environment were modeled. Furthermore, its data transmission performance was also compared with that of a location-based method through random simulations.
