  Abstract

Fintech, which refers to the convergence of finance and technology, is bringing innovation in financial ecosystems and creating new customer value through diversified and specialized services. Fintech innovation is rapidly expanding into various service areas as the entry of the high-tech startups and ICT companies into the financial industry is increasing. In this context, our study examines the recent fintech trends and explores future policy directions for fintech development in Korea, focusing on ways to enhance financial service innovation and consumer protection.
