  Abstract

This paper proposes a priority-aware two-step random access (2sRA) procedure based on message bundling technique. Our proposed scheme dynamically adjusts the number of bundled messages transmitted by each user equipment (UE) according to its access priority level. We perform extensive simulations based on MATLAB to evaluate the performance of our proposed scheme in terms of 2sRA success probability. From the results, we verify that our proposed scheme effectively differentiates the access performance according to the access priority level.
