  Abstract

In this paper, we propose a probabilistic model to analyze the impact of physical-layer impairments on the access success probability of a two-step random access (2sRA) procedure with message replication. The proposed model jointly considers the effects of collision probability, signal detection probability, and decoding error probability to quantitatively evaluate the access performance under realistic wireless conditions. Furthermore, the validity of the analysis is verified through simulations, and an effective operational strategy for 2sRA with message replication in 6G non-terrestrial networks (NTNs) is derived.
